Training format

The course is designed for people with no prior knowledge of Tok Pisin who want to support their integration into Papua New Guinea.

The training programme is fully online and asynchronous, allowing participants to progress at their own pace. It is made up of 10 modules, each combining a video lesson with personal study activities to reinforce learning in a flexible and practical way.

Training objectives

At the end of this training program, participants will have:

The understanding and the confidence to communicate in basic Tok Pisin.
The confidence to use specific Tok Pisin language and concepts associated with cultural awareness
Pronoun sets and key vocabulary in English and Tok Pisin
