The Top 5 Secrets to Extend the Employee Experience to Consultants

At Easy Skill, we’re proud of who we are. At our core, we’re a company that’s inspired to make a difference in the lives of so many people. And just like our clients, we believe that it’s people that truly make the difference between successful companies and mediocrity. So naturally, we’re always brainstorming new ways to bring this ethos to life.

One of the things that makes us stand out is our personal touch. We’re in business to serve people and we never forget it. We work tirelessly to humanize our work and infuse the people factor into everything we do. At Easy Skill, we’re passionate about leaving the world and the people we touch slightly better than we found them. People power is our competitive advantage. And we genuinely care about each and every member of the Easy Skill team from the internal crew to the expert consultants.

Alone you can go fast, together we can go far.

Despite working across six global offices and counting, we have incredibly strong values and a culture that puts people at the centre. We pride ourselves on fostering a culture that celebrates considerate communication, creativity, collaboration and a critical mind. Together, we pooled our collective ideas to establish these foundations that summarize who we are, what we believe in and how we can flourish together.

Work hard. Play hard. Build real relationships.

Working at a company that understands the power of corporate culture for achievement is refreshing. Culture is dynamic; constantly shifting. To help us remain inspired and focused, we completed an impromptu internal team building day. Stepping back from the daily grind to candidly discuss where we can improve, where we’re excelling and how we can better live our values was transformative. Outside the office we talked about what matters so we can all feel more fulfilled at work. And that’s where strong interpersonal team bonds take flight.

Bringing the people factor to life.

When it comes to fostering culture and engagement with our external consultants, it can get a little tricky. Not being able to sit next to each other every day makes it more challenging to recreate the same sense of belonging. And that’s exactly why we go the extra mile to make it happen. “The effort makes all the difference. Feeling a sense of belonging and purpose is what I love most about Easy Skill in New Caledonia,” said Roland Canivet, Maintenance Consultant.

At Easy Skill, we like sharing the good vibes that inspire us to come to work every day and make a difference. Our consultant teams love feeling included in the team spirit too. Our top five secrets to extending the employee experience are:

  1. Knowledge is power. We enjoy getting to know each candidate personally, so we figure out what they’re great at and identify their perfect work match.
  2. Smooth starts. We take the time to carefully explain the assignment, company, team and the details that make the difference for a stress-free work start.
  3. Sense of community. We like to share stories from around the world, interesting trends or career tips in our monthly newsletter: Common Ground.
  4. Support in the long run. We like to check in with our consultants regularly to see how happy they are and offer a hand to make work even better.
  5. Play together. Every quarter we find an excuse (oops I mean event) to get together to share stories, good food and a few laughs to nurture our personal relationships.

Waking up every day with a sense of purpose and a team of colleagues, co-workers and friends you actually like is really living the dream and making memories that will last a lifetime. We’re proud to work with each and every one of our teammates and feel honoured to call them part of the Easy Skill crew.
