Pierre Adrien has had quite the career journey before joining Easy Skill.
With great expertise in mechanical engineering and the oil and gas industry, Pierre-Adrien will be paving the way for new markets in New South Wales. Let’s learn more about Pierre-Adrien in 5 questions.

1. How did you start your career?

After graduating with an engineering and management degree in France, I decided to pursue my career abroad. I started as a Field Service Engineer for a French company based in Texas, USA. The company was specialised in developing tubular solutions for oil and gas, construction and energy industries. My role was to know the job with a hand-on approach, inspecting and running the products and training clients on best practices.

A couple years later, an opportunity arose in Aberdeen, Scotland as Technical Manager for the Field Service group. I was in charge of the competency management system for 80+ technicians located across the world in 11 offices. This role included training, competency assessments and product demos. I was also involved in field engineering activities for new product launches. I enjoyed this customer facing role allowing me to interact directly with end users.

2. What led you to Australia?

The dream of discovering Australia was always on my mind since very young so when I had the opportunity to relocate for personal reasons it was an easy decision. I ran a motorcycle business for a couple of years then went back to the industry working as a Technical Sales Engineer for a company providing bulk fluid transfer solutions, mainly serving Defence, Mining and Aviation companies.

3. What is your main area of expertise?

Over the years, I have developed my expertise in project management, technical support and customer relationship management. Using my engineering background, I have the ability to analyze a technical issue, deeply understand the clients’ needs and then provide suitable solutions. This allows me to build and maintain long lasting relationships and deliver value to my customers in the long term.

4. As a new employee, what motivates you?

I am really motivated by this new challenge with Easy Skill. As far as development goes, the New South Wales and Canberra area have a lot to offer. It is well known that the country is being hit by a massive skill shortage and Easy Skill can play a decisive role in helping Australian based companies to be able to meet their deadlines and technical requirements. On a personal level I also appreciate the opportunity to meet new clients from different industries with various backgrounds and experiences.

5. What are your hobbies?

I am passionate about the outdoors, particularly remote camping and mountain biking. I combine this with my passion of photo/videography and try to capture the beauty of the Australian wildlife and scenery. When I am not able to get out of town I enjoy practicing various sports, such as soccer, tennis and swimming, or enjoy playing poker with friends.
