Goodmanfielder is a leading regional food company across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and New Caledonia. Established in 1988, the regional branch in New Caledonia manages three production plants dedicated to flour, snack, cereals, pieces of bread, and cakes. With 75 employees, the company prioritizes safety standards that needs continuous improvement.
Goodmanfielder has its own experts in quality, health, safety, and environment on every regional production site to provide the best safety standards for the teams. However, the skills shortage on the Caledonian island is a real struggle for HR managers looking for experts to hire. In addition, the border closure of the island during the pandemic made global mobility difficult due to a compelling waiting period.
When it comes to hiring an expert to increase safety, there is no waiting time allowed. That’s when Goodmanfielder contacted Easy Skill, a trusted technical recruitment partner on the island, to help them find a specific expert locally. Along with other searches, ten candidates in total were eligible for the position.
With ten years of compelling experience as HSE Manager on the island, one of the candidates selected by Easy Skill was successfully hired for the role.
