Thanks to efficient production and a large-scale distribution process, the products are distributed to over 30 000 outlets daily, including supermarkets, route outlets and foodservice customers. To rank among the top products they compete with, the company must constantly create, improve, or adjust outstanding quality and safety standards.

Goodmanfielder is a leading regional food company across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and New Caledonia. Established in 1988, the regional branch in New Caledonia manages three production plants dedicated to flour, snack, cereals, pieces of bread, and cakes. With 75 employees, the company prioritizes safety standards that needs continuous improvement.

The challenge

Goodmanfielder has its own experts in quality, health, safety, and environment on every regional production site to provide the best safety standards for the teams. However, the skills shortage on the Caledonian island is a real struggle for HR managers looking for experts to hire. In addition, the border closure of the island during the pandemic made global mobility difficult due to a compelling waiting period.
